Searcheer App — Backend for a CV-Analysis Tool
Backend for a CV-analysis tool built at DBS Coding Camp 2025 — core server logic and route mechanics in Node.js and Hapi.js. Top 20 of 398 competing teams.

CONTEXT / PROBLEM
A capstone deadline, a real backend to ship.
The capstone required a working product inside a fixed cohort timeline, judged against 398 competing teams. Our team chose a CV-analysis tool. I took the backend.
APPROACH
Own the backend, keep the routes honest.
01
Engineer core server logic
Built the core server logic and route mechanics for Searcheer App using Node.js and Hapi.js.
02
Validate data end to end
Implemented data validation across the API so the analysis pipeline received input it could rely on rather than input it had to defend against.
03
Ship as a team
Collaborated within an Agile team structure to integrate backend work with front-end and machine-learning delivery on a fixed timeline.
RESULT / IMPACT
Top 20 of 398 competing capstone teams.
TOP 20
Out of 398 competing capstone teams
92.10
Final programme score out of 100
Searcheer App's backend held up under evaluation, helping the team secure a Top 20 finish. Why this sits on an analyst's portfolio: I'm not applying for backend roles. It's here because it's the reason I can sit in a requirements session and know which constraints are real. When a developer tells me something is expensive, I usually know whether it is.
